With its rich, savory aroma, firm texture, high protein, and low GI, this dish is an excellent choice for supplementing protein during a weight-loss period. It's also simple and easy to prepare.

  • One chicken leg (about 150g)

  • 3 slices of ginger

  • 2 sections of scallion

  • 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce

  • Half a spoonful of dark soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon of five-spice powder

  • A pinch of salt

  • Appropriate amount of clean water

1. Wash the chicken legs, put them in a pot of cold water, add ginger slices and cooking wine, blanch for 2 minutes, remove and wash away the scum;

2. Add enough water to a pot, then add chicken legs, ginger slices, scallion segments, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and five-spice powder;

3. After bringing to a boil over high heat, reduce to a simmer and braise for 20 minutes;
